Contest Details

This contest has been developed to create awareness of the designation of the South Saskatchewan River as a Heritage River.

ALL IMAGES MUST HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM 12:01AM TO 11:59PM JUNE 21, 2008 of anywhere along the South Saskatchewan River from Medicine Hat to Prince Albert including Lake Diefenbaker. There are no categories, the subject is the South Saskatchewan River. Images should express your river experience.

Entry

To submit your entry, simply fill out the entry form and send it with your work to One Day, One River. Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2008.

Each photograph must be accompanied by your name and contact information and each image must be titled and include the location of the image as well as the estimated time it was taken. Each photographer may submit up to three (3) photographs. If there are additional entries received by the same photographer, only the first three entries will qualify. No signature, stamp or any other identifying mark is allowed anywhere on the entry. If you are submitting your entries by mail, please package your work carefully to prevent any damage during shipping.

Who is Eligible?

This competition is open to all ages and classifications of photographers.

Ways to sumbit your Entries

You may submit your images to our contest in any one of the following ways:

1. Click here to send your images by email and enclosed your contact information along with the email. Digital files must be saved as jpg and not exceed 800 Pixel in height or width.
2. Download a printable PDF version of our entry form, complete it by hand and mail it to our office along with your image(s).

This contest is free to enter.

Use of Images

Copyright and all other rights remain that of the photographer. Any photograph used by One Day, One River in any promotional pieces may or may not contain a photographer's credit line. Please understand that all images entered in the contest may be used in background material leading to the desingation in the South Saskatchewan as Canadian Heritage River. Please make sure you understand this.

Winner Notification

Winners will be announced online by September 1st, 2008. Winners will also receive an email or phone call from the organizers. The work of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be published on the website.

Return of Images

Do not submit originals. We will not be returning any images so please submit a duplicate.
